Hi, I am Angie McFarren. I have been teaching my children since 2002 and my children are not social misfits nor are they lacking a quality education. I must admit the first few years into my homeschooling adventure; I experienced a lot of trial and error. Thankfully, my children did not suffer because of my uneasiness. I only wished I had had a mentor: someone who would have answered my questions and affirmed my beliefs regarding homeschooling. Because of those experiences, I decided in 2008 to become a Homeschool Consultant and that is how H.O.P.E. Home School Consulting began. My desire is to help other parents avoid the same mistakes I made and help them gain confidence in their homeschooling journey. If you are new to homeschooling, my mission will be to help you prepare for your homeschool adventure without you feeling frustrated. The biggest challenge for parents who choose to homeschool their children is knowing where to begin. You do not need to spend countless hours reading books; over buying school materials that collect dust on a shelf; or feel that your idea of homeschooling is flawed. What you need is to know how to homeschool in a manner which is best for your family. As your personal homeschool consultant, I will answer your questions; teach you the “how-to’s” of homeschooling; help you to make informed decisions; and provide you with a plan of action.
